It's been a long time since I've been on Xanga. I am starting to look for jobs and I am wondering if I should keep the blog. I really don't post on here very often and I don't want employers to not hire me because of my blog. So, if someone convinces me to keep the blog within the next week, then I will update my blog. Otherwise, I am canceling this account.

I will try to post more often.

I'm bored at Purdue University right now. Therefore, I have no choice but to post something and check for responses to pass my time. I think more people check facebook than xanga though. So, if I don't get any responses I might abandon xanga too.

Ok, my last few nights. I stay with my advisor and she has two kids so, everyone goes to sleep at 9pm. I need to stay in my room and be quiet. I've spent the last few nights looking up crap on youtube. I've discovered the show "Weeds" from Showtime. By far one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. So, I've watched all the clips on weeds on youtube then got bored again. I looked up other shows from Showtime. I've heard of "Queer as Folk" and "The L Word". The videos for "Queer as Folk" (at least the ones I found) were pretty crappy quality while the videos for "The L Word" were mostly make out scenes. I don't know the plots so it's difficult for me to understand what's going on. I'm so cheap. I'd rather watch crappy clips on youtube than pay to watch the shows. Anh.

I started looking up new music too. Usually, I rely on other people telling me about new music. I checked out with Todmod's list and I like most of the songs. Anyone have any more suggestions? Oh, I want to start reading too. So book suggestions would be helpful too.

sitting at the airport again with another update on the house.
brad and i went to a neighborhood watch potluck on sat. we found out the full story about the night when the cops drove around the neighborhood. some guy stole a car and parked in it in our area. he was walking around with a shotgun and police were looking for him.
another interesting story about our housing situation.
since we live in a patio home (we share two walls), we are in a homeowner's association for our development. we received a letter from the HOA asking to vote on two amendments. so as not to bore you, i will not go into detail about the amendments. soon after, we receive another letter in the mail from a local homeowner. in a 2-3 page letter he explains why we should not vote for the amendment. some of his arguments sound ok, so we decide to vote no. then we get another letter from the HOA board in response to his letter. the letter states this jackass is "not a homeowner, but renting from his parents." blah, blah, blah. basically this letter blasts the guy and we realize he's some self righteous jackass. so we vote yes and turn in the ballot.
at the potluck, we were wondering if the jackass would show up. it was very easy to spot him, cuz he was the only other person under 40 at the potluck. he introduces himself as earning two degrees from asu, but he really only double majored. then he tried to convince brad and i that his honors thesis was pretty much equivalent to a master's degree. blah, blah, blah. brad blows him off, but he continues to try and talk to me. he wants us to vote no on the amendments. i told him we already voted. some old lady starts talking to me so i escape from him.
last night, he comes by our house and tries to give us another letter about why we need to discuss the amendments before we vote. anyway, the main reason why Im annoyed with this guy is: he thinks he knows more than the board members which have been running the HOA for more than 5 years, while this guy has never shown up for a meeting. oh, and he refers to himself as an elected official. he's got some chump office in the local republican office. stupid jackass.
maybe he'll find my blog and read this.
